Christopher founded Harwood Capital Management in 2011, a successor from our former parent company J O Hambro Capital Management, which he co-founded in 1993. He is chief executive and investment manager of North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc and chief investment officer of Harwood Capital LLP. He is a non-executive director of several companies. Christopher was a director of Invesco MIM, where he was head of North American investments and venture capital, and of Samuel Montagu International.
Charles has been a Director at Harwood Capital Management Limited since September 2017. Charles joined the firm in 2012 as an Investment Analyst and has primarily focused on researching investment opportunities in small-cap stocks listed on AIM. Charles has broad experience of the financial industry having spent time across various sectors of Harwood’s businesses. He is a non-executive director of several smaller portfolio companies held by the group. Charles graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2012 with a degree in Real Estate Management and holds the Investment Management Certificate (“IMC”). Charles has recently been focused on managing the Private Investment Portfolio held by group.
Christopher joined Harwood Capital LLP in 2019 as Group Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President to the London office of EnTrust Global, managing trading, fund accounting, and operations. Previously, he was a Senior Associate in the Investment Management division of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, providing assurance and advisory services to hedge funds and private equity funds. Christopher is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, having joined in 2011. He holds a first-class honours degree in Business Management.
Howard is the Investment Director for Harwood Real Estate. Howard is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities for the fund, and is also responsible for the portfolio/asset management of the existing Harwood investments. Howard reviews and develops the portfolios strategies in line with market trends and opportunities. Howard is a professional member of The Investment Property Forum (IPF), Member of The British Property Federation (BPF Futures), and professional member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Howard qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2012, having worked for a leading investment consultancy.
